Much awaited and hyped
Megastar Mammootty’s Movie Rajadhi Raja. Released over 200+ theatres all over
today. As like all his recent movies, this time also Mammookka appearing in a
debutant movie.
Debutant Ajay Vasudev
directs Rajadhi Raja , Mammootty and Rai Lekshmi in lead roles. After a long
time, again Mammootty is in a mass and larger than life role in Rajadhi Raja.
As like recent releases this movie is also made for Mega Star Fans. Especially in
the onam season it will be a good entertainer for them.
After the critically acclaimed
classical movie “Munnariyippu”, this will be a sudden image changing role for
Mammookka. We cannot expect any sort of freshness in these types of mass
entertainer films. What we expect in such movies, is that for the masses and
fans to clap the one man heroism of Megastar on screen. Rajadhi Raja is almost similar
pattern like the movies “Rajamanikyam and Pokkiri Raja” mixed with family drama.
On going to the Story
Line, Rajadhi Raja narrates the life of Sekharan Kutty and his past life that makes
problems on his present life. Sekharan Kutty is living with a simple lifestyle
with his wife and little daughter.
On the first half, it
reveals Sekharan Kutty's family life. With a normal introduction, the film
gives importance to the family life of the Sekharan Kutty in the first half. To
be precise, at the intermission second face of Sekharan Kutty, is revealed. Even
the second half cannot claim to be a high voltage and loud action film unlike
some of the similar movies in the same category. First half of the movie
pointing to the emotional side of the star and second half going to reveal the
power packed mass of the star.
Performance Analysis
Mammootty as Sekharan
Kutty and as Raja was a shade of the several characters he has portrayed in the
past but should say it was more stylish than ever.
Rai Lakshmi in female
lead as Mammootty's wife, on the expressive emotional acting side she was perfect,
but in the initial portion she failed to synchronise with the lip movement.
Jojo as Ayyapan was
impressive and he made the first half alive with his humorous act.
And the Joy Mathew,
Babu Namboodiri, Siddhique, Lena, Mukesh Khanna, Raza Murad and a few other
actors mostly villains formed part of the supporting casts.
Technical Analysis
Direction by Ajay Vasudev is nice , but there is nothing to see new.

Scripted by the super
hit team of Sibi K Thomas and Udayakrishna narrates the story that we have already
seen several times in Malayalam. So we can feel the power of Rajamanikyam or
Pokkiriraja which are some of the successful commercial movies of Mammootty.
In according to the Songs,
first one that goes like Midu midu midukkan were not that much impressive and
their placement spoiled the mood and flow of the movie.
Cinematography was awesome.
But in the Editing, cuts
were fine but a bit more shorting was needed to avoid the lagging of the flow
in some areas more in first half.
Bottom Line Verdict
As like the recent
super hit Peruchazhi, Rajaadhiraja is also strictly a film that will appeal to
the hardcore fans of MegaStar. Its a mass entertainer with a mix of family
drama purely enjoyable on this festive season with your family.
