Lailaa O Lailaa FDFS Review, Lailaa O Lailaa Box Office Collection Report

'Lailaa O Lailaa' the movie came with much expectations after a big success by Joshy-Mohanlal-Amala Paul team. But somehow it not much geared up the expectations. Love, Drama, Underworld, Chase, Gun Shots all entertainment suspense.

Undercover agents are not allowed to reveal their identity. Not even to their wives. Jai Mohan (Mohanlal) marries an unassuming rich girl, Anjali Menon (Amala Paul). His second marriage; the first one broke off owing to his agent-life colliding with his marital life.
Anjali, until the movie breaks for interval, remains unassuming. She has a fixation with cooking and calls her husband while he’s interrogating a terrorist to ask him whether he’d like ‘baingan bharta’ (Brinjal curry).

In a way the whole story is about the romance between mohanlal and amala paul along with lalettan's official duty crisis.

Performance Analysis

Mohanlal, there is no words needed to analyse the universal star, as he is awesome in his all roles.
Lalettan plays Jayamohan (Jai).
Amala Paul completely fits in the role Anjali and shares a good chemistry with Mohanlal.
But the actress has nothing much to do in the movie.
Sathyaraj brilliantly portrays Shaheed Khadar.
Joy Mathew disappoints with the cliched side-kick role. It is time for the actor to try something different.
The supporting cast including Rahul Dev, Junaid Sheikh, Ashwin Mathew, Vijay Menon, Kiran Raj, Sreerag Nambiar, Abhijith Paul, Remya Nambeesan, Kainaat Arora and, Anjali Upasana, are fine in their roles.

Technical Analysis
It was the Debut malayalam movie for the Popular Bollywood scenarist Suresh Nair. Unluckly the initial hype, he completely fails to impress with the loosely-packed screenplay, which is based on a boring plot. After all there is nothing to say new, we can consider this as a power pack Bollywood Masti movie.

It is the third consecutive disappointing venture of the veteran filmmaker Joshiy. The director proves that he is still young to direct a perfect thriller movie, the poor screenplay badly affects his craft.

S Lokanathan's cinematography perfectly creates the ambiance for a romantic thriller, with the brilliant visualization. Editing by Shyam
Sasidharan fails to meet the standards, as the 2 hours 50 minutes long movie has a lot of unwanted scenes, which have helped only to increase the duration.

The songs composed by Gopi Sundar fails to meet the expectations. But the National Award winner scores with the decent background score, which perfectly blends in with the situations.

Bottom Line

As a power pack bollywood thriller kind of movie, it deserves appreciation. But weak story

The movie, which revolves around the terrorism-intelligence agent-romance drama, might impress the die-hard Mohanlal fans with the racy stunt sequences and romance. But the movie completely fails to cater to the normal audience and movie lovers, who love to watch Mohanlal in earthly, performance oriented characters. Once again, it has been proved that no stardom and technical brilliance can save a movie, with a soul-less script.

Box Office Analysis

Very big competition for LOL, because its a movie season with Lal Jose's "Neena", Jyotika's re-entry movie " 36 Vayathinile", Rambir-Anushka teamup "Bombay Velvet", Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai" starring Arya and Vijay Sethupathi.
But as the trailer and songs of "Lailaa O Lailaa" had already created a huge buzz. The movie is being promoted as one of the most expensive in Malayalam till date, and the action sequences in the film are said to have some Hollywood flavour.
There must be big backdrops for LOL, but some how the thriller kind of genr will help the movie alot to make big in box office.
