Jacobinte Swargarajyam, as the first festive release for Vishu, the Nivin Pauly starrer has been making news ever since it went on floors. Nivin-Vineeth duo makes one of the best actor-director combo of the town and expectations are sky high for the movie.
The two-hour-25-minute movie has a grand opening with about 80 screens in Kerala and about 75 theatres outside the state with English subtitles.
Jacobinte Swargarajyam is a family entertainer, written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Nivin Pauly essays the lead role in the movie. The movie is produced by Noble Babu Thomas, under the banner Big Bang Entertainments.
StoryLine
Jacob is an NRI who hails from Central Travancore. He has settled in Dubai with wife Sherly and their four kids, Jerry, Abin, Ammu, and Chris. Jacob is an extremely friendly father to his kids. But, an unexpected crisis disturbs the peaceful atmosphere of Jacob's family. The rest of the movie says, how he overcomes the crisis and saves his family.
Performance Aspects
Renji Panicker, who essays the title role Jacob, steals the show with his exceptional performance. It is the career best performance of the actor-writer, till date. Nivin Pauly, who plays Jerry, has portrayed the changes of his character from a happy-go-lucky young man to a matured person who fights for his family, with much ease and perfection. Another actor who deserves a special mention is Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, who plays Jacob's wife Sherly. The rest of the star cast, including Reeba John, Saikumar, TG Ravi, Dinesh Prabhakar, Sreenath Bhasi, Aima Sebastian, Ashwin Kumar, etc are good in their respective roles.
Technical Aspects
After a long 3 years Vineeth Sreenivasan once again proved that he is one of the best film-makers of his generation. The director has perfectly narrated the well-written script, with the right mix of light humour and emotional elements. It is the best venture by Vineeth till date.
As always Jomon T John again creates a magic on silver screen, with is fantastic visualization. Ranjan Abraham, the editor, has done his job to near perfection, by creating the right balance between the lighter first half and the serious second half. Songs & Background Score Shaan Rahman's songs and background score deserve a special applause. All the songs, especially the Onam song Thiruvaavaniraavu, are beautifully composed. The soulful background score stands hand-in-hand with the narrative, thus making the movie even more impactful.

Jacobinte Swargarajyam is a complete family movie based on a Feel Good Inspirational real life story with good blend of humor, emotions and music. It's going to be the right pick and flick for this vacation, if you are planning to spend some time with your family. As movie caption says "enter with a happy heart". We can surely say that you will exit also with a happy heart!!!!!! A delightful family package indeed. And it is undoubtedly the best movie released in 2016 so far. Don't miss this one.
