Biggest release after Covid-19 situation in India, Vijay's much-awaited Tamil film Master has hit the screen today, 13 January. Originally, the movie was scheduled for release in April 2020, but the lockdown due to Covid-19 delayed the film's release. Vijay's 64th project is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Featuring Vijay Sethupathi as the deadly antagonist, the action-entertainer has Malavika Mohanan essaying the female lead.

Master is a treat for Thalapathy and Vijay Sethupathi fans alike. Overall, Master is another

typical mass film starring Vijay. Vijay Sethupathi (on-screen) and Anirudh Ravichander (off

screen) deliver a terrific output. If you are expecting an out and out Lokesh Kanagaraj film

you will be disappointed.

Master Movie Review and Ratings: Vijay's latest is Hit or Flop.?

Vibes:

As usual with all Vijay films, Master also comes to an end after a routine climax fight.

Anirudh Ravichander is the lifeline of Master. The score is terrific and helping big time.

Review

The story of the film revolves around a troublemaker professor named John Durairaj aka JD

(Vijay), who is sent to a juvenile home to teach children. His face-off with gangster Bhavani

(Vijay Sethupathi) is the crux of the film.Master started with pretty ordinary typical heroism

and college professor – student scenes. The movie later picks up the pace towards the pre

interval and gets intense. Vijay Sethupathi steals the show while Anirudh provides a terrific

background score.

First twenty minutes is all about how and what made Vijay Sethupathi a tough guy. He

steals the show in the revenge taking scene.

Cast and Crew:

Malavika Mohanan has paired up with Vijay for the first time. Vijay Sethupathi will be

playing the role of Bhavani, a gangster, in Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial flick. Shanthanu

Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Nassar, Dheena, Ramesh Thilak and many others

are part of the cast.

Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for Master. He has composed a total of eight

songs for the movie. 'Kutti Story', ''Vaathi Coming' and 'Quit Pannunda' have turned out to

be hit numbers from the flick. Sathyan Sooryan has captured the vision of the director

through his lens, while Philomin Raj has edited the flick.

As far as the writers' are concerned, Lokesh Kanagaraj himself has penned the story, while

he along with Rathna Kumar and Pon Parthiban have penned the screenplay. Vijay's relative

Xavier Britto and manager Jagadish have produced the flick.

Hype:

Master is the first big movie to hit the screens from South India after the country was

lockdown in March 2020. The fans are desperately waiting for the movie to hit the screens

and this is evident with the response from the audience to the advance booking of tickets

for the movie.

In addition to Tamil and Telugu, Vijay-starrer this time is releasing in Kannada as well.

Well, as Master garners a blockbuster response from the audience

Bottom Line : Usual Vijay’s entertainment Average Flick

Rating : 4/5
