The alleged sting video released by a YouTube channel Yesnews Live which we are not posting over here because of the abusive contents, says it was taken by one of Boby’s employees, with whom he had sexual relations. The video says in a description that it reveals the darker side of Boby Chemmanur, who has over the years been recognized as a noted philanthropist and entrepreneur.
Boby Devassikutty alias Boby Chemmanur had earlier come under the scanner of the Income Tax Department after he collected deposits worth Rs. 3000 crores from people without getting a license from the RBI and SEBI. During another instance, Kerala Police had registered a case against him after a search operation in his manager’s house in Calicut revealed illegal money lending.
Chemmanur Group was the main sponsor of the Journalist Football League (JFL) conducted by the press club in Kozhikode district in May, 2015.
Chemannur’s 812 km. long marathon with the objective to start the ‘World’s Largest Blood Bank’, starting from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, was extensively covered by the media in Kerala. His feat was also recognized by the Limca Book of Records.
Back in 2012, Chemannur roped in football legend Diego Maradona as the brand ambassador of his jewelry showrooms and since then they have been renamed as Boby & Maradona. Recently there were reports that Chemmanur International group is in talks with Lionel Messi to bring him abroad as the brand ambassador.
The Chemmanur International Group launched its first jewelry and financial investment showroom in Houston on April 30, 2016. They also have showrooms in Kuwait, UAE and Malaysia.
