When asked about the project’s
progress, Soundarya stated the following: "The film is in its editing
stage now, and we've already locked the first half. We're working on the second
half of the film now, and rerecording, sound effect and dubbing will begin from
next month."

R Ashwin’s maiden directorial venture, ‘Kochadaiyaan’ starring his father, the
Superstar Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone may tentatively release around April
2013. The movie has been creating quite buzz since it was announced and
was earlier slated to release in Dec 2012 on Rajini’s birthday. It was pushed
to Pongal and now to the Tamil New Year.
Reports
suggest that the source of the movie has rich graphic elements in it and a
proficient high profile team is already working on the CG bits between London
and Chennai. The audio launch is near as a ate is being currently discussed.
The heavy post production work should be over soon.
