Stylish Star Allu Arjun is the only non-Malayalam actor, who has got huge fan following in Kerala. And almost all his previous Telugu movies have become a hit at the Mollywood Box Office. The actor is now back to rock the viewers with Romeo And Juliets, which is the dubbed version of his much-talked about and highly anticipated Telugu movie Iddarammayilatho.
Directed by Puri Jagannath, Romeo And Juliets is a romantic action movie with all other commercial elements to rock the masses. Allu Arjun's stylish looks and performance are the main attraction in the film. Puri's arresting screenplay, Devi Sri Prasad's trendy music and background score, Amol Rathod's wonderful picturisation, Ganesh Acharya's unique dance moves, Kaeche Kampakdee's amazing stunts and action, Catherine Tresa's glamour, and Brahmanandam and Ali's comedy are its other highlights. The convincing comedy scenes and dragging narrations are its biggest drawbacks.
There is nothing much to boast about the story of Romeo And Juliets and it is no different from the previous films of Puri Jagannath, who always runs the show on masala elements, rather than having a wonderful story with some brilliant theme. The first half of the film is interesting with all masala stuff and the story gains momentum at the interval bang. But the pace of narration goes slow in the second half and it once again picks up momentum with the twist in the climax.
Sanju Reddy (Allu Arjun) is the lead guitarist of a Spain-based band comprising of four others (Srinivasa Reddy, Khayyum and two girls). Akanksha (Catherine Tresa), the daughter of Union Minister (Rao Ramesh), heads for her higher studies to Spain, where she finds a diary that chronicles the love story of Sanju and Komali Sankarabharanam (Amala Paul). She instantly gets attached to these two characters.
